2017 PASER Training and Certification

Every year local agencies must collect Pavement Surface Evaluation and Rating (PASER) data on at least 50 percent of their paved federal-aid-eligible roads, and then submit the data to the Transportation Asset Management Council (TAMC). Agencies can also apply to the TAMC for grants to fund the data collection of paved non-federal-aid roads if they are trained. The Center for Technology and Training will conduct a series of rater training sessions on behalf of the TAMC. Raters who plan to evaluate federal-aid-eligible roads in 2017 must attend one of the PASER Training sessions.

Webinar Session: No Cost

Classroom Session: Public agencies- $10:00, Private Companies- $20.00

The registration fee, travel expenses, and staff time associated with these training sessions are reimbursable through your agency’s regional or metropolitan planning organization (RPO/MPO) as part of data collection.

Workshop & Certification Times

Workshop dates and locations are provided on the flyer below. All sessions- 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.). Certification testing is held after the workshops on location from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (You will be notified by email if you qualify for the certification)

Upper Peninsula dates and locations are April 5 (Delta CRC Escanaba) and April 6- River Rock Banquet Center, Ishpeming
