June 25, 2020

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is launching a new data collection initiative; the Mega Data Project. The data collection aims to reduce waste and develop plans for materials management.

The first phase is already underway in the form of online surveys for counties and local unit of governments and how they manage materials and/or events.

The second phase of data collection will concentrate on service providers and materials management facilities, such as material recovery facilities and other private entities.
