Over the summer and fall of 2015, CUPPAD facilitated a Region-wide Rural Broadband/Internet Services survey. This survey was sent out in summer tax bills in many units of government, notices were placed in newspapers around the Region, and the survey was available online.
This report and included maps is a summary of the survey responses. CUPPAD’s next steps will be to work with Connect MI to meet with local providers, units of government, economic development organizations, and others to better understand the needs of rural broadband within the Central U.P.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit a response. We hope this effort will help expand and improve internet services around the Region and U.P.
