EGLE’s Mega Data Collection: Have You Filled out the Survey?

September 1, 2020

Mega Data Collection Project of 2020

Never before has Michigan embarked on such a large data collection project in order to document and inventory the current state of materials management systems in all municipalities within Michigan’s 83 counties.  The primary objective for the Mega Data Collection Project is to provide the baseline of data necessary for counties to develop future materials management plans and provide a roadmap for materials management moving forward.

EGLE has contracted with Resource Recycling Systems (RRS) to assist with data collection, which will begin in May 2020 with a focus on municipalities, counties, haulers and materials management facilities.  An online survey tool has been created for use by municipalities and counties.
